Stage Sandblasting

New Sandblasting

These panels are all stage blasted for private homes or restaurants.

Stage blasting involves an artist masking and blasting the glass to different densities by hand.

Every panel is individual, and produced with the artists flare.

Sir Donald Bradman

Modern stage-blasting techniques allow an endless variety of patterns to be produced. This is particularly useful in manufacturing signage for institutions, corporate offices, clubs, hotels and other premises. The intricate variations provided by the differing stages of the etching process produce a finished work that is not matched by any other form of craftsmanship. It is a classical art form enhanced by modern manufacturing techniques. The detail necessary to achieve such quality is assisted by use of computer technology.

In addition to stage blasting Spectrum produces traditional forms of etched work such as decorative corners, centre motifs and borders from which there is a large number to choose. Full matt-blasted panels are also available.

Sealing of sandblasted glass to protect against dirt, grease, fingerprints, weathering and contamination can be done, on request, by application of a co-polymer coating. This is an ideal solution to problems usually encountered in busy traffic areas. It provides initial resistance to staining and makes cleaning easy.

Sir Donald Bradman was an artistic feature panel that took time and dedication and an extensive amount of research to be completed.

Spectrum's artist, Kevin Bogie undertook major research in gaining all the relevant information needed to undertake this feature panel, that also included several visits to the Bradman Museum.
